Yancheng Chunqiu Theme Park
Introduction
Changzhou Yancheng Chunqiu Amusement Land is located in Wujin District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is built on the site of Yancheng of the Spring and Autumn Period, which has a history of over 2,700 years. This site preserves the most intact above-ground urban remains of the Spring and Autumn Period in China, featuring a unique “three cities and three rivers” layout. In 1988, it was listed as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level. Stretching 850 meters east-west and 750 meters north-south, the site covers a total area of approximately 650,000 square meters. Precious cultural relics such as dugout canoes and bronze artifacts have been unearthed here, and its urban layout is consistent with the records in Mencius.
With a total area of 7.6 square kilometers, the scenic area consists of five major zones, including Yancheng Ruins Park, Chunqiu Amusement Land, and Wildlife World. As the core zone, Chunqiu Amusement Land integrates Spring and Autumn Period cultural elements through situational experiences. It is equipped with amusement facilities such as Sun Wu’s Command Platform and Zhaoguan Rafting, and creates immersive experiences by combining cultural activities such as the intangible cultural heritage (ICH) “Iron Flower Performance” and “Hanfu Hairpin Flower Ritual” . Covering 2,000 mu (approximately 133.33 hectares), Wildlife World displays more than 200 species of rare animals from around the world, and giant pandas were introduced in 2015.
In 2017, it was rated as a National 5A-Level Tourist Attraction, having received a total of over 25 million visitors. The scenic area is equipped with BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) and multiple bus routes, with Yancheng Bus Hub Station in place. It is 29 kilometers away from Changzhou Benniu International Airport. In 2025, a renovation project for amusement facilities was launched, covering equipment maintenance, landscape restoration, and other contents.
