China Dinosaur Land
Introduction
China Dinosaur Land, located at No. 60 Hehai East Road, Xinbei District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, [20] is a comprehensive amusement park themed around dinosaurs, integrating functions of museum display, popular science education, entertainment, leisure, and performances. The park covers an area of 550 mu (approximately 36.67 hectares).
On February 1, 1997, the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, the former Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, and the former Ministry of Land and Resources (now the Ministry of Natural Resources) signed an agreement to construct the China Dinosaur Museum, which officially broke ground on September 20 of the same year. On September 20, 2000, China Dinosaur Land was completed and opened to the public. During the May Day holiday in 2002, the park introduced projects such as Bungee Jumping, Summer Sledding, and Dragon Sea Exploration. In 2003, it expanded its planned area by 13.5 hectares. In July 2005, Lublar Water Park was officially opened to the public. In the following years, China Dinosaur Land successively launched themed zones including Kukusuke, Magic Rainforest, Dream Manor, Adventure Harbor, and Crazy Dinosaur Man. On September 20, 2019, the Dinosaur Gene Research Center, a real-scene experience base, was opened. Since its opening in 2000, the park has received a total of over 50 million visitors from around the world.
Composed of seven major themed zones—Magic Rainforest, Kukusuke, China Dinosaur Museum, Lublar, Dream Manor, Adventure Harbor, and Crazy Dinosaur Man—its main attractions include the China Dinosaur Museum, 4D Dinosaur Coaster, Fire & Water Power, and Sky Tower. China Dinosaur Land has become one of the most popular and beloved theme park brands in China.
Known as the “Oriental Jurassic Park,” it was rated as a National 5A-Level Tourist Attraction in 2010 and has since won titles such as “National Popular Science Education Base for Land and Resources” and “Excellent National Popular Science Education Base.”
